A Perfect Teacher "Thank You"

School will soon be out, and what better way to thank the teacher's in your kids life than with a handmade card. Now, I know that this particular sample says "Happy Birthday", but switch out the saying with "Thank You" and you've got the perfect card to make for them. Isn't it fabulous? It was designed by none other than my mom, Michelle Lembcke. Her cards are always so stunning :)

To achieve the chalkboard look all you have to do is stamp with the Whisper White craft ink on black cardstock, and then to make it look more "used" rub a sponge or dauber with the white ink on it across the board. You can put more white in some places than others to give it the uneven erased look of a chalkboard :)

The flower is from the spring mini and comes in a roll like a ribbon. The individual flowers are great to cut apart and color to match your projects. I've seen people smoosh them directly into the ink pad, sponge color onto the flowers, color them with markers, and even use a spritzer filled with reinker and some alcohol to color them. Try a couple of methods and see which one you like best! But remember, the flowers are only available until the end of the month, so stock up now :)
